Beating a middling WAC team at home is a surprise? Expectations at rock bottom!77 UTEP

Hey hey it’s a q3 team. You know how difficult it is for UTEP to beat a team outside the q4. This win would be huuuge!!!!Beating a middling WAC team at home is a surprise? Expectations at rock bottom!
With a name and attitude like yours thought your expectations would be the same77 UTEP

I expect UTEP to beat “most” teams at home. Exceptions are Power conference, Top 25 teams, and conference championship caliber teams. Seattle isn’t any of those. With a name and attitude like yours thought your expectations would be the same
Yeah, my bad. Could be a huge win for the team. Definitely will be a marquee win in Senter’s eyes. Extension maybe?Hey hey it’s a q3 team. You know how difficult it is for UTEP to beat a team outside the q4. This win would be huuuge!!!!
They took a pretty good Washington squad into 2OT. Wouldn’t be surprised if Seattle pulls it offI expect UTEP to beat “most” teams at home. Exceptions are Power conference, Top 25 teams, and conference championship caliber teams. Seattle isn’t any of those.
If beating a middling WAC team is surprising to you in the coach’s 3rd year, what are we doing???
I expect UTEP to beat Seattle, but I won’t be surprised at all if they lose.
They’re a fine team and respectable opponent. That doesn’t mean that UTEP should be losing to them at home. They took a pretty good Washington squad into 2OT. Wouldn’t be surprised if Seattle pulls it off
Yup.They took a pretty good Washington squad into 2OT. Wouldn’t be surprised if Seattle pulls it off
UTEP shouldn’t lose to a team like this at home, but they had a rough loss at home last month. Really hoping they’ve turned the corner after the Wyoming winThey’re a fine team and respectable opponent. That doesn’t mean that UTEP should be losing to them at home.
I hope so, but I doubt it. I don't think this is a good team. Of course, we need to see them play on the road more.UTEP shouldn’t lose to a team like this at home, but they had a rough loss at home last month. Really hoping they’ve turned the corner after the Wyoming win
Although I agree with what you’re saying, we are not that team. Seems like most expectations have us losing so winning would be a decent surprise. Shouldn’t be, but would be unfortunately. It’s just where we’re at right now. I do think they pull it off at home myself but going to be closer than what you’re guessing in my opinion. I like the way they battled in the tourney and think they continue with that grit and get the win.I expect UTEP to beat “most” teams at home. What good is our depth when none of our players can shoot?I think we catch them flat footed and our depth takes over. Miners 72 Seattle 65
Wait we have depth? What good is our depth when none of our players can shoot?
Of course we do! We have a bench full of players who can't shoot, but play a lot.Wait we have depth?
Now 5:35 in and still 2.Two points in over 4 minutes of play to start the game. At least we're consistent
Oh okay so what you're saying is our roster is full of players that should be coming off the bench?Of course we do! We have a bench full of players who can't shoot, but play a lot.
No, just another lame excuse. If UTEP had a team that won games and wasn’t boring AF, they could get more fans.Terrible attendance. Who scheduled a game during a Cowboys game? You would think UTEP learned lessons by now. If we're going to do this, we better have a damn good basketball team.
Nah, I'd like at least some of the guys on the bench to be able to shoot! We have a bench that replicates the ineptitude of our starters, though, which for us is depth.Oh okay so what you're saying is our roster is full of players that should be coming off the bench?

We all know EP is a Cowboys market. There are absolutely some people that stayed home instead of going to UTEP. How much of a difference is unknown but it did make a difference. No, just another lame excuse. If UTEP had a team that won games and wasn’t boring AF, they could get more fans.
The problem is UTEP and Jim Senter, not the Cowboys and fans not going.
Fair point. This is a WAC/CUSA partnership game. They might not have had a say on the date.
The next home game could be a Cowboys game as well.
