At USC Nelson was competing against Caleb Williams, who was one of the top QBs in college football. Nelson did get beat out by a 3 star QB at BSU. Not sure how it unfolded. Again, let’s wait and see if Nelson ends up at UTEP before we start projecting next year’s QB.

He doesn't even need to be great. If he's good or even above average he'll be serviceable for us. In USC he was competing with other 4 and 5 star guys for PT. At Boise, he was competing for high 3 star and and low 4 star guys for PT. Here he probably doesn't have a lot of competition. Our QB play wasn't amazing this year.
