Pathetic. Pathetic. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
In this one bid league, this game won't mean much but it was 100% a must win game for UTEP. Yes, the rivalry is important but even more than that, it was a must win to keep fans coming back. After this pathetic beat down we are going to get our petty 4k crowds and deservedly so.
If we ever get a good crowd, we should start chalking them up as losses. I was going back and forth with people on here about crowd sizes saying this team deserves crowds. I was wrong and am here to eat my words. We'll just have to wait another 10 years for the next sellout.
Getting a sellout then being blown out by a rival? Really? At home? Fans are never going to believe in this team. My cousin and his wife joined me for this game. They're fans and go to a couple games a year. They aren't to my level of fandom but they do support. My cousin's wife told me, "this is why we don't buy season tickets." She's right too. She's smarter than me. I wish I could tell Senter about that story. I wish he would read this.
I know I didn't talk about much of the game but it was a complete beat down and I really don't have any words for it.
UTEP fans, like us, that have stuck with this crap through all these years, deserve all the glory. UTEP doesn't deserve us. Shout out to UTEP fans.
This probably sounds like I'm saying the sky is falling but it sucks living through all these years and UTEP never giving us anything to be proud of. I'm just frustrated.
