OT: Next Big Thing for El Paso?

Bob Moore is a retired editor and writer for years in El Paso and he acknowledged On "AMA El Paso" on reddit and it's immediate impact news reporting. He didn't mention how they use humor, pop item news and cheeky humor that young people follow. However, fitfam alienates a ton of El Paso, too.
Bob is a great guy and a very good reporter/editor. He started epmediamatters when he was basically forced out of the times. In fairness, he resigned when they told him to cut more staff. He took one for the team.
However, he is WAY far left, not open to new ideas/criticism and will block you in a second.
Also, he's a hard core Broncos fan. 🤮

“Despite the fact that NET ratings don't mean much right now”

NET ratings don’t mean anything to UTEP - period! Winning your conference tournament is the only pathway to the NCAA Tournament.
Whoa! You're telling me that with a schedule containing no elite OOC teams, and with already having lost to Utah Valley and SJSU, we don't have a shot at an at large bid? Damn, I didnt realize that!

Or maybe, just possibly, I was referring to using the NET ratings as an estimate of the strength of the two teams who were going to play today, and saying that it's too early in the season, as their isn't yet enough data, for such a rating to be anywhere near meaningful.

Nah, I was thinking that we are well on our way to a top 40 NET, and an possible at large bid, and you destroyed that dream for me. Now how am I supposed to sleep?

OPT: Seattle at UTEP

I wasn't able to post during the game, but did watch the first 10 minutes or so on my phone while shopping with my wife, heard the rest of the first half on the KROD app while driving home, and then watched most of the 2nd half while doing a myriad of things around the house. These afternoon games are hard fore me to follow properly, and having them during the holiday season makes it all the more impossible.

I said before hand that I thought Seattle was better than their record. I'm not so sure about that now, but I will say that we played our best game of the season. Our bigs had their most productive combined day ever, we hit our shots, and defended well. In the second half, when it is common for teams to lose intensity when up by such a large amount, we never let Seattle cut it to under 20 until we were in garbage time. Great game by the Miners, night and day from what we saw against Utah Valley. Hopefully we can build on this.
