OT: Ominous Vibe

What is "ominous" about this?
It's a violation of Executive Branch ethics rules.

The United States Office of Government Ethics rule on "Endorsing Organizations, Products or Persons" states that "Executive branch employees may not use their Government positions to suggest that the agency or any part of the executive branch endorses an organization (including a nonprofit organization), product, service, or person."

It's OK though, nobody here really had any misgivings that Trump had any ethics.

This Forum is Pathetic

Don't write anything negative about UTEP athletics specifically about the WBB pathetic program because your post will be deleted. I strictly followed the posted Forum rules but it doesn't matter because the post was deleted anyways. Sad that you can't have an opinion anymore. Freedom of speech is gone. This is a public forum but is ruled by someone who doesn't know what he or she is doing.
What did you write? We’ve been very critical of Bronzeing and even homeboy Walden on here.

Spring football returns Monday in El Paso

More concerned that Walden will still call the plays....
I want to believe that last year was a learning process and he realized that he couldn’t spam screen passes and rush the clock only to punt. I’ll give him a little bit of a pass because he wasn’t afraid to switch QBs, RBs and to try different things. I can also understand that all of the shuffling killed continuity.

Hopefully Nelson is as good as advertised and he can lock down the position.

OT: NCAA Tournament 2025

The Crown ended up taking a bunch of crappy teams. DePaul? Colorado? Arizona St.? These are all awful teams that would never have been invited to the NIT in prior years.

In the Big Ten, Indiana, Ohio State, Northwestern, Iowa, and Rutgers all announced beforehand that they would not be playing in the Crown. I assume the Big 12 and Big East were similar, which is why the Crown ended up with the teams mentioned above.

As a result, I think the Crown watered down both tournaments so that the actual good remaining teams didn't want to participate in either tournament. The timing of the Crown conflicts with the transfer portal, so many of the teams that declined an invitation expressed concerns that they wouldn't have enough bodies to participate.

UTEP vs Liberty: CUSA Tournament

We are upset about the state of our basketball program; however, Senter can not say a lot for privacy reasons but he did publicly tell local sports media that he has "one year left on his contract" (in reference to extension talk). Senter is not a liar. So as a season ticket holder, my concern are the plans working forward with one year left because this is a big deal to recruits/transfers.
Could very easily be a lie of omission, "one year left on his contract" bc his extension has been submitted and not yet approved by the Texas trustees. I have no confidence in Senter.
