It's a Commodore! I wonder if he has some connection to the school? Good for him. Hope he does well. With offers from Texas, SMU, and OSU, that's a shocker.
But it got good under Price! A 44-27 UTEP win in Ruston and then we left to CUSA and they remained in the WAC. Played 0 times until LaTech joined CUSA in 2013 when Price was no longer the coach.Price played once vs LT. LT beat Kugler and Dimel 9 out of 10 times. Sorry bro you’re way off.
Off and on. Got good under Price, cooled during realignment, then warmed up under Dimel and Kug. Like or hate all three, because LT had a long streak due to UTEP blowing things like a chip shot kick, it became heated. Fans really got indecent with LT players once. It was crude, but we fans were happy that their win streak was over.La Tech? "Fierce" "rival"? We must have different definitions of both "fierce" and "rival."
USC and Notre Dame are also rivalsBaylor and Texas were considered rivals. Texas beat the crap out of them for over 100 years. The regional factor made them rivals.
They played the Chihuahua School and won 111-62. They didn’t play UACJ. They did an intersquad game and a clinic.Anyone know the score of the game vs the Juarez team. Sorry in advance if it’s already been discussed in another thread.
Here is the thing about Golden…. He’s not overnight fix guy and his recruiting hasn’t been at the level we as Miner Fans would like obviously. He needs to get to 22+ wins this year and honestly make the NCAA, but NIT and winning a couple of games would show us promise! We all understand it’s a one bid league and it’s tough. I’d like to see Golden string 2 good years together before going to the MWC to restore my faith in him.Dark Golding seems to be carrying himself way different from previous years. I hope this translates to more success!
One thing that I do like about him is that he's humble. I also like Wilson's attitude.Dark Golding seems to be carrying himself way different from previous years. I hope this translates to more success!
One of VERY few times I agree with you whole heartedly....La Tech? "Fierce" "rival"? We must have different definitions of both "fierce" and "rival."
I don’t think regionality is required, but it can help. To your point, UTEP and LaTech haven’t played any meaningful games against each other and LaTech was won the majority of the games, especially in football.IMO a rival is either someone regional or vs a team with somewhat even wins and losses in the series. We’ve beat them in 3 out of 20 attempts.
You mean you weren’t one of the 9,101 fans that bought tickets to the game at the Sun Bowl last season? Imagine the attendance if it weren’t a fierce rivalry!!!La Tech? "Fierce" "rival"? We must have different definitions of both "fierce" and "rival."
La Tech has become a fierce rival ...
