Looks like just a UTEP booster so would take that info with a grain of salt. About as much credibility as the Texas State fan who posted they're about to accept the MWC offer that everyone is freaking out about.Who is this person? What credibility does he have??
I highly doubt this. He’s a UTEP fan and besides having awful grammar I highly doubt this scenario is playing out. If money is an issue, I want to be positive and say that a new TV deal, and the prospect of playing quality opposition year in and year out could be the defibrillator shot to the heart this athletic department needs.
Looks like some random Miner fan. Taking his tweet with a HUGE grain of saltWho is this person? What credibility does he have??
He also can't write for sh!t! lolWho is this person? What credibility does he have??
Nonsense, UTEP could always pay overtime. The fee should not be an issue, the issue is, does the MWC or Pac12 see any value in UTEPI was just thinking. Wouldn't it be funny if UTEP can't move to another conference because they can't afford it?? It would be a Utep thing to do. Utep used all of its money on the locker room.
Not a lot of athletic departments can absorb a conference buyout - a decent amount of them take loans out. UTEP’s funding would come from that $5 million surplus and then probably a loan to pay it off over X years.I was just thinking. What schools would go for only football? I don't think any schools would want to do that. The MAC schools have done a really good job of sticking together and I don't think they would half-heartedly leave for one sport.I think they MWC is looking at bringing in football only schools to increase their media money. NIU and Toledo aren't going to do it though, but it was worth a try. UTEP has a good shot at getting in as a full member, as long as Texas State rejects the MWC offer.
