Spring Football

Actually I think she does a bit, but maybe is understanding that more resources are better spent in football than basketball. Utep prides itself as a basketball school, because of Don Haskins, but we haven’t been for over 30 years! Football has been awful, but if it’s good it is the real money maker and what’s needed to have successful athletics and have opportunities like MWC and beyond. Walden has done an amazing job of recruiting and fund raising. Wilson probably knows that this is way to go and is like whatever about Golding and Basketball and letting him just finish out his contract.
I guess we’ll see. If true, only because her had has been forced.

New MWC Possibility:

Most years UNM is a NCAA team, Nevada had a down year and has made the NCAA quite a bit recently, UNLV is committing money to being much better, Grand Canyon is doing the same and has been consistent. You’re probably right 3 is too optimistic, but 2 is realistic and no it won’t be worse than CUSA. CUSA had a really good year this past year and that why the highest the conference was rated in a while and still got one bid. Also I wouldn’t say Utep was one of its worst. They crashed and burned and lost close games on the 7 game losing streak and we as Miner fans are obviously upset, but no one outside of Utep in CUSA saw Utep as one of the worst or an easy win that’s just ridiculous. Every game except for one on the losing streak and then the Quarter final game Utep led late in the game, to say Utep was one of the worst is irresponsible and just being a bitter Miner fan. This team totally floundered and fell far below their potential yes, but the 7-11 conference record was more of an internal struggle within the team and coaching not talent. Now next year there’s a good chance we will be one of if not the worst and not competitive. Either way I think a two bid league at best is probably more accurate.
I really don't think CUSA was a top ten conference. Liberty was the only consistently good program, OOC and in conference. The rest were meh and beat up on each other throughout the conference schedule.

The MWC is top 10, arguably top 5, though and will be top 10 even after SDSU, Boise, Utah State and Fresno leave. UNM will be a tournament team most years whether they win the conference or not. GCU should be competitive enough to warrant potential at large looks, along with UNLV and Nevada. Wyoming has had some strong seasons. If the MWC adds Saint Mary's, its for sure a two bid league and possibly 3.

OT: Ominous Vibe

Putin has less than one year of military inventory. Zelensky has stronger EU support as he got 1 millions rounds of artillery shells, new tanks and EU MRAPs. Second, UAF TOOK BACK a lot of the land Putin illegally took in 2014 and has only regained a little bit back; however, important transport town that UAF could not hold. Putin wants too fight on but the luxury of time is longer his as Zelensky holds the line and delivers hard body blows, like destroying Russian bombers a few days ago. One just returned from bombing a Ukrainian civilian area.

OT: Next Big Thing for El Paso?

"El Paso has become a national leader in water innovation — pioneering brackish groundwater desalination, wastewater reuse, and aggressive conservation efforts, according to water experts. Now, it's taking another step forward. This advanced water purification system will deliver 10 million gallons daily in a city that used roughly 105 million gallons per day last year. Some say it will be the first direct potable reuse, or “toilet-to-tap” facility in the country....Shane Walker, director of the Water and the Environment Research Center at Texas Tech University said El Paso has become one of the most progressive water utilities in the country.."
