Wish I could see the boys square off Saturday. Got my fingers crossed that the season lives up to expectations.

21 wins will be a good season. D.A. is gone so I hope fans are realistic. He literally saved what could have been a terrible season because he was that much of a floor leader. Floyd may have gone to a hybrid zone that helped salvage a season but D.A. was amazing at times.

Now if the big men play lights out, it could be a special year. Not it will, but could.

Conference championship or bust.

What about conference championship but left out of the NCAA tournament?

The problem in a one bid league, as we’ve seen, is winning the conference tourney is a crap shoot.

Winning the regular season conference championship, however, is an achievement that demonstrates control.

I wonder if our team is going to protest during the anthem — hope not.

How quickly everyone has already dropped their expectations. Floyd has not made the NCAA tour in any of his 7 seasons. He needs to make it this year or he should be out. Why keep lowering expectations and keep giving him more and more chances. Mike Price didn't get any more, why does Floyd continue to get them?
Easy answer:
This thread explains it all as we don't seem to expect quality anymore, mediocrity is ok.

I think there are plenty of posters who have said "tourney or bust" in regards to Floyd this year. One can only say it so many times, though, before he appears to be an old man yelling at clouds. Most are on the same page as you.

We haven’t won the conference in 7 seasons, either.

It’s the usual suspects that seem to find a way out for Floyd every season.

I saw on twitter that several Miner big men are currently out with injuries, including Kelvin Jones, who will have an MRI on his leg. Apparently, ironically, Willms is the only healthy big man at this time. Practice was cancelled the last couple of days to allow for recovery.

Wouldn't it be nice to get some type of update from the local media? They all must be tied up with articles on the 0-7 football team.

So Tirus first had a toothe knocked out and now he has a concussion. It has been a rough start for the poor guy.

Obviously, let’s hope that the Jones leg injury is not major.

I was thinking the same. If its an MRI on the knee then they are likely looking for a torn ligament. No good.

Pretty standard to MRI a knee injury. Can spot any soft tissue injury. X-ray can't. Could be as minor as some torn cartilage. If it is ligament, hopefully MCL, which usually is a fairly quick recovery process, comparatively speaking.

Like I said before, "Got my fingers crossed". Don't need to be hit with bad stuff like this before we even get started.

Price invites media for coffee and scones. CTF lights a paper bag of dog shit on their porch sometimes.

This has already been reported, MRI Negative
