- Archibald did not lead the country in scoring and assists in 1969-70. The leading scorer was Pete Maravich. I didn't find the leader in assists that year. Archibald did lead the NBA in both categories during the 1972-73 season.
- I love Nevil Shed, but he never made an All American team. Two of his teammates, David Lattin and Bobby Joe Hill, did. He was a great player, but certainly isn't among consideration for our best all time.
- Maxey never played in CUSA, he played in the WAC. As Hardaway is the only UTEP player to win WAC Player of the Year, he never won one conference POY award, let alone two.
