I miss that smell too. I went outside after the first summer rain after I moved to San Antonio in 2018 and it smelled ... well, just damp. I really missed that fresh smell you get in El Paso. I tried to tell people at work how the smell here after a rain just isn't the same as it is in the desert, and they looked at me like I was crazy.
