I'm out here trying to win with 18 to 22 year olds. It's hard trying to win with these kids. There's no program in the country trying to win with players this age.
UMEC is a terrific team, with terrific coaches and players, and a terrific basketball tradition.
I keep telling my players that every game we've lost we would have won if we had only scored more points than they did. They just don't seem to understand that. We just needed six more points tonight, but it's the same old story over and over again. They just don't get it. Three guys fouled out tonight and they certainly can't contribute if they do that. It's a real challenge.
I will play the five guys that listen to me, regardless of talent.

Winning isn't important here at UTEP. We only focus on making tough hard headed men out of these boys.
