Heard on the radio last week (in Chicagoland) that it was a possibility, looked at his Wikipedia page today and it's a done deal. Speculation seems to be that he will likely be waived, though.

He plays very well overseas. He plays different out there.

It's not that he plays different. It's that the level of competition is not as great over there (not that its not high, it is). His lack of shooting, which he just doesn't have and never did, doesn't hurt him as much over seas. He can blow past guys over there, even if they are sagging off of him.
