Anyone know when he becomes eligible? Guess it's after the semester break; whenever that is.

The only time Bob gets his facts straight is when he's looking up some arbitrary and pointless stats that "show" how every program is better than UTEP

That would be an opinion, not a fact. Also, I don't think every program is better than UTEP.

I forgot that you are perfect and never make mistakes.

I don’t get all the excitement for Archie. He left TCU for not getting a lot of PT. It’s not like TCU is a powerhouse. If he didn’t get that much playing time than that means to me that he might not be ready to play in the collegiate level. Even if he came out as a four star. Someone explain to me how he will help the miners improve. I would like to feel better about him being a miner

Debbie Downer. LOL

But I all seriousness I do agree with you.

My friends that have been able to attend practices have said that he is the best guard UTEP has on the roster. Last year TCU lost in the final four of the NIT and finished 23-14. Kaden is really good. He will be eligible as soon as UTEP decides he has fully completed his two semesters. In the past this has taken UTEP about 1 week after all finals have been completed and grades posted.

It was stated here that he will be eligible in December, so who knows.

Miners you'll see that didn't play at UTEP last year: Souley Boum, Tydus Verhoeven, Anthony Tarke, Bryson Williams, Deon Stroud, Eric Vila, Daryl Edwards, Anieus Medrano, Kaden Archie (in Dec). Add those guys to Jordan Lathon/Nigel Hawkins/Efe Odigie & ya: expectations are high.

That's perfect! He'll have a couple warmup games to gel with the team at East Central and NC A&T. It'll be interesting to see how he fairs against nmsu.

The next items on CRT's to do list:
1) School Williams on the 1-2-3's of how to play without fouling every three or four minutes along with the importance of being on the floor and not the bench.
2) Work on the perimeter shooting; especially Boum. We know he can shoot it, but so far nothing.
3) Continue the lock down "D" and reducing the turnovers along with boards and things look pretty damn good.

Interesting to see how soon and how much PT Archie gets.

I think one of the areas of concern going into the season by a lot of us was our three point shooting. Right now, Boum is shooting 20%, Edwards is at 35%, and Lathon at ~28%. Vila is at ~36%. While 4 games is a small sample size, all the games have been at home where teams shoot better. A lot of the shots missed have been open ones. Like you mentioned, this is still an area that needs improvement. It would be a huge plus if Archie is able to bring some outside shooting, but I am not sure how good a shooter he is. I can see teams continuing to play zone, and double teaming inside until we show an ability to shoot from the outside more consistently.
