So who of Bob Stulls former assistants would be a good fit?

I was looking at coaching staff of Kanas City Chiefs to see if any of them had any Utep connections. The special teams coach David toub was a graduation asstistant at Utep and he does have college football coaching experience.

If Dr. Natalicio doesn't give a crap at all about athletics, that could happen. But if she does at least care just a little about the athletic dept then she will make sure a competent AD is hired and let that person hire and fire as they see fit.

Dave Toub is going to be a NFL head coach. He is a talented, TALENTED coach. He develops success wherever he goes. As a Chicago Bear coach - he was very successful. But it didn't harm Toub to have Devon Hester on his special teams. Toub is ticketed for the NFL. IMO.

Yup, its been my assertion for years that we don't have an Athletic Department, but rather a social club. A bunch of dudes who were here in the 80's talking about how impossible it is to win here and how lucky we are to have them, the only guys who were ever successful at this impossible place.

Stull's hiring track record for coaches has been on display for years. He and his committee of one (Bob Stull) bet the ranch and the chickens on the Kugler hire. He shouldn't be in the same zip code with decision makers on the next AD. Hire a consulting firm for a short list of finalists and get out of the way...

All Dr. Natalicio needs to ask herself is if I was running my beloved st. Louis Cardinals who would I hire?

The coach has to, has to embrace early 21st century college athletic realties. Domestic female and student body complaints need swift action and enforcement. Hands off the younger student body and non football game participants. HC and assistants with near spotless records. No social media rants nor compromising social media photos. Behavior clause will be strictly enforced. Pass opens the run. Power run game is good and essential but the Spread changed the landscape. What is the approach to win CUSA, not just the west? Do you plan to maintain the good grad rate? No drinking on site. If you want to celebrate or need to unwind from all night film sessions , go drink elsewhere. No need to have the student body see the coaching staff stumbling around campus red eyed and stinky (This is a yearly student complaint of coaches ALL over the U.S.). Also mention there is more to El Paso than H&H Carwash mexican food. They are good and legendary UTEP supporters but El Paso is so much more than that. Your contract includes membership to EP Country Club but this is a big city. Shake alot of hands.Tireless community outreach (UTEP needs the "casual fan"). Should be familiar with Texas and So. Cal. UTEP has deep ties for recruiting, alumni and boosters in both regions. How do you handle the media?

Bob Still is retiring he can give recommendations, but should not be involved in hiring process of new coach or AD. Utep should use and outside agency and I know he's older, but I'd live to see Mike Price as AD for 3-5 years a d groom an up and coming potential succesor. I also think Mike would find us an exciting young coachwith innovative ideas. I just want this tear to be done so Still and Kigler are gone. And if Basketball doesn't have what should be an NCAA or NIT season, Floyd can hit the road too.

If we outsourced that to an agency, and let Price handle the PR aspect of the program, it would surely help get qualified successful young candidates to apply and accept positions here.

UTSA used a national search committee who found Frank Wilson, UTEP should take major notes...

NEVER EVER EVER EVER hire Price for anything. He sucked us for money he didn't deserve and attacked real fans that showed displeasure in the performance of our basketball coach. I mean REALLY attacked....you think that OLD man would do us proud by getting coaches in here that need to win? pffft.....
