All he needed to do was keep running the ball. UTEP had the bigger, stronger line and had worn them down through 4 grueling quarters. JSU was not going to stop them. What's the point of wearing them down if you're going to call a pass play at that point of the game? Wasn't this moment THE POINT of your game plan?

I think that's when he lost the team. They played hard that game, and Dimel threw all that hard work away with the plays he called.

I matriculated at UTEP when colors were only orange & white. What was the reason for the blue? I left "home" before the change, the change still bothers me but what are you gonna do?

After some thought about the UTEP debacle against NMSU, I'm pretty sure NMSU studied the video of the NU game earlier this year. The mis-direction & fakes were so similar - the UTEP defense was constantly suckered.
Saw the same fakes and mis-direction at the NU game.

The Miners defense doesn't practice for these kinds of offenses if all they've been practicing is against a high basic straight forward run offense. Another indictment of poor coaching, poor teaching. SHS will beat UTEP if they study the NU & NMSU videos.
