My apologies to Joe Golding

As a mathematician I should have recognized the numerical pattern that Golding is trying to reproduce. Last year he had a late season run where he lost five straight games. He followed that by winning the next five games. Unfortunately for Golding he started the winning streak too early: he had three games left in the regular season when he started reversing his five game game losing streak, leaving him one win short of making the NCAA Tournament.

This year he has a seven game losing streak, and he stretched it to end the season. Now when he follows last year's numerical pattern, his seven game winning streak will carry us to the Elite 8. Brilliant move. The only is that he should have began the losing streak three games earlier in order to bring us a 2nd natty. Still, no plan is perfect. Over all a brilliant move by Golding that I was just too blind to see until now.

Next year, we’ll see Bynum leading another university and the country in three-point percentage, but Golding kicked him off the team before the tournament. 🙄

I wanted to work out for Golding just because his son goes to Coronado. He plays for the basketball and football team . I was hoping the son could finish his high school career in El Paso. It would suck for him if he had to go to another school and try and fit in.

Golding is staying. I will bet you all he is staying for the end of his contract.

He will get his extension.
Again he already received the extension 2 years. Don’t we have any investigative news guys either print or media in this town. Should be easy enough with the tools they have to get to the bottom of the story. Senter being the coward that he is won’t reveal anything in the hopes of us forgetting and moving on to football my guess is late summer he’ll put it out there that Golding received a 2 year extension without giving any details.

Journalist give us a hand here start sniffing.

Maybe someone on the board that is a lawyer needs to file a FOIA and have UTEP release records. Granted, they recently blocked a request from that reporter from a Nevada newspaper that is investigating the contract related to the mountain West conference invite. I'm sure UTEP would block it too and claim some sort of violation of "trade secrets" or other bullshit. This lack of transparency isn't surprising given the current state of the world.

You don’t need to be a lawyer. You only need the time and effort to do it.

Tried listening to Sportstalk with Kapp hoping to hear some outrage last week. Pretty much heard a freakin multi-segment live spot for some spare degenerate gambler from a third rate gambling site.

Once Andy and CD left sports, we’re only left with ABroad to get some real athletic answers.

Starting to think there was some early red flags about hiring Golding.

One red flag is, none of his former players from ACU followed him to Utep. Walden is a different story he brought a whole bunch of ex players with him. That means his players like playing for him

Which one of these guys did we miss out on? Who was going to take minutes away from Boum or Tydus?

The cupboard was pretty full when Golding arrived. The only guy really worth bringing, who could have somewhat filled the void left by Bryson Williams, went off to Wichita State.

Idk I'm just saying it was an early red flag that we missed. We all saw that video of him dancing with his team after they beat Texas. That video probably sold us all?? Maybe he really isn't a players coach and players don't like playing for him? I mean why didn't any of his players follow him? When the coach from NMSU went to Mississippi State. Didn't he bring some players with him?
