Let’s see how the reaction is. I remember the last time they consolidated the banners and OH THE UPROAR from the season ticket holders. Went back to the old ones within two weeks
Actually many people on this very board whined. Jim Cardwell gave enough money to where they won't change back. Funny thing is Jim isn't a UTEP grad though his dad's late business partner, Rip Russell, played football for Texas Western. They were the founders of Petro.Who asked for the banners to be replaced? Were the old ones falling apart or something?
Do some people just invent problems so that they can feel good about themselves when they "fix" them?
His signature is on the ****ing court and the arena is named the Don Haskins Center. They should make a Don Haskins Banner
And now they just need a bannerHis signature is on the ****ing court and the arena is named the Don Haskins Center.

I don't know. They definitely used to hang it with the other banners, but I don't know when they stopped.Isn’t it framed and handing near one of the entrances?

How about a banner for the 92 team ? Most programs use a banner to acknowledge their teams that make the regionalsUmmm, not good. My issue with the banners was that they were different colors and some were more crooked than others, looked slapped together. My other issue was when Floyd would honor ex-Miners and hung their jersey in the DHC. Guys who averaged 5pts a game, shouldn’t have their jersey hung. I hope those got taken down.
I think it’s a good idea to consolidate some of them. Maybe the NIT, WAC stuff, and conference tournaments, but it’s looks completely barren and the 66 Title banner doesn’t seem to be that much bigger, if at all. I’m all for de-emphasizing something that happened 60 years ago, but you should still have a pretty big banner for an accomplishment like that.
