Is that how the spring game ended? On one hand it took 2 OTs to beat perhaps the worst team in FBS at home.

There's a worse team in the conference than us!
Proud of our guys today. Solid win. We can build on this. Fought to the bitter end
Sounds like a banner we should put up!There's a worse team in the conference than us!
I’m scared if Locklear ends strong and beats NMSU he gets the nod next year to start. Also if Utep beats NMSU the crazy thing will be that this team had a chance to win 4 other games this year. All in all it’s a disappointing year, I’m just pointing out that they were close and had chances to get close to bowl eligibility this year. That’s mainly due to the fact CUSA sucking of courses. Next year needs to be a 6+ win team for Walden especially with recruiting and his culture in year 2. Beat NMSU and end the year on a positive Walden!I'm not sure it it's because Pickles was so bad, but Locklear looked alright yesterday. He doesn't seem to be trusted. Scotty kept trying to force the run up the middle.
We were very close to being 0-10 at this point too. FIU’s 1st and 2nd string QB’s got injured in that game and we barely beat them by 9 points. And we had to go to 2 OT’s to beat one of the worst teams in the country yesterday at home. Unfortunately the Southern Utah loss pretty much proves this is an awful football team, not a team that was so close to bowl eligibility due to a few bad breaks.I’m scared if Locklear ends strong and beats NMSU he gets the nod next year to start. I don’t think it’s a good team either and you’re absolutely right, but so am I. It could’ve gone either way and if they beat NMSU then it settles in the middle. We were very close to being 0-10 at this point too. Since the loss to Southern Utah, I have seen improvements, the biggest on defense and they made KSU pass and got two pics with one that sealed OT. Checking the stats, which are not eye popping but not bad either for a 2-8 team. I personally see improvement in him and want Locklear back.I’m scared if Locklear ends strong and beats NMSU he gets the nod next year to start. Here's another one for you. Here’s the typical Miner fan. Claims winning 3 games is a very good season. Doesn’t know the difference between D2 and FCS. Claims limited recruitment, but is totally clueless about it.
Troll views are always shi**y. Glass is always half empty and smells. We were very close to being 0-10 at this point too. I agree. I know it was Kennesaw State, but I thought UTEP was going to find a way to lose. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s honestly hard not to have some enthusiasm after seeing our boys claw and fight to secure the win. I thought overall the offense looked good. I think we will beat NMSU and go into the offseason on a high note. Recruiting class looks outstanding for next season
I thought you would be more mellow since joining that 4B Movement, but I guess it has made you grumpier.Troll views are always shi**y. Glass is always half empty and smells.
Damn! Look what losing to UTEP does to you!Doubt Scotty would be gone given his first year but here's a school that takes action
Damn! Look what losing to UTEP does to you!
Honestly, I think this was a little harsh. It's their first year in FBS. I know what Jacksonville State did last year, but that's the exception, not the rule. Still, he did lose to UTEP ...

They did beat Liberty. That should count for somethingDamn! Look what losing to UTEP does to you!

Could have been a one game fluke, but he earned it. It's the Scotty Walden offense so he ran what was called and executed. It was impressive at times what he did.So I didn’t watch the pillow fight of the century but was wondering, skylers stats, we’re they actually earned by him or are they “inflated” coming all from dinky screens and yac?
I see all of the praise he’s been getting, and well deserved if he did, but the stats look stuffed to me. If he actually made the plays then kudos to him, but if all he did was throw it across the field to a wr screen and the wrs got him those stats, then I feel they should be getting the praise and we still need a qb for next year.
Like someone mentioned before, hopefully this game hasn’t won him the job for next year already. Guess why I’m curious to his performance and not stats
Skyler play like a qb should. I do not understand Walden’s love affair with the throws to the flats. One or two a game maybe. Haven’t seen them work, he’s setting us up for a lot of pick sixes. So I didn’t watch the pillow fight of the century but was wondering, skylers stats, we’re they actually earned by him or are they “inflated” coming all from dinky screens and yac?

I think KSU almost had one. Read it all the way but luckily a drop.Skyler play like a qb should. I do not understand Walden’s love affair with the throws to the flats. One or two a game maybe. Haven’t seen them work, he’s setting us up for a lot of pick sixes.
But it didn't. Apparently they had unrealistic expectations for their first year in FBS. Still, it was after losing to the Miners that he got canned. The AD must have penciled in the Miners as a game that they should win, and canned the coach when he lost. It sucks for a coach to lose to us.They did beat Liberty. That should count for something
