Same. They’re on par with the ACC and Big East in terms of having 5 top 50 NET teams.
Anything but Madness. top seeds getting a bye to the 4th round is just not conducive to major upsets, but it's a good reward for working hard all year I guess...

Not a bad alliance. The WAC might be a better conference after the AAC6 teams leave, so they'll help.
Schedules will be filled with Utah Tech, UTRGV, and UTA. We will be playing them in conference within 10 years anyway, might as well get started now.
I mean, we all know that's true. Unless something drastic changes at utep or utep gets lucky and sneaks into the MWC (which would probably backfill with WAC teams too).
Surprised to see no mention of the Iowa St. player dismissed yesterday, or the Detroit Mercy player that end up 4 point shy of breaking Maravich's all time scoring record.

Antonie Davis’ record is trash anyway. Maravich only played in 83 games over 3 years. Had no 3 point line and no shot clock. Davis is in his 5th year. And has played in a lot more games.
Missed the initial news on that one that just talked about his release. I saw the one where he was released, and he claims he is going through mental issues. IF true, that could be a very bad thing for a P5 program.
Davis's accomplishment deserves a mention, no matter which side you come down on. When was the last time someone even came close to sniffing the record?
Here’s why nobody on here is talking about it. Maravich has an untouchable record. It should remain that way.
Records are meant to be broken. By that measuring stick, no record should ever be surpassed because teams play more games, athletes have longer careers, racing cars are faster and safer, the NFL plays 17 games now, the 3-point line exists, there are more teams than 30 years ago or whatever other silly reason to justify the argument that someone doing something more than someone else is irrelevant.
Many records need and deserve asterisks, especially this one. He played in almost 50% more games and played on horrible teams. Even then, some 3rd rate tournament is going to “take” his undeserving team, just so he can break the record. Some record.
