Going for it on 4th and 2 at your 18 might be worse.

The Raiders were going to run the clock out, take the tie, and go into the playoffs along with the Chargers. A tie would have sent both the Raiders and the Chargers into the playoffs and knocked out the Steelers.

The Chargers taking a time out forced the Raiders to run a play with 38 seconds remaining. They gained 10 yards putting them into field goal range and kicked the field goal to win knocking the Chargers out of the playoffs.

Agree it was dumb. But you're also giving the other team at least 3 free points in a close game. Maybe if they punted, OT and the timeout is moot.

Could have had the #1 seed had the Boys shown up against Arizona.
C'mon, man, really?....the #1 seed?....the Packers played soft all game to the Dandy Lions and played the scrubs in the second half... we'll see about that "should have been #1 seed" when they get demolished by the Niners...go back to watching your VHS tapes of the cowboys back in the 90s...

Yea really, had the Cowboys won one more game they would own the tie breaker over the Packers and have been the #1 seed. It's not that complicated sir.

Yea, if the colts one more game they would be in, if the Charges one one more their in, if Denver didn’t suck their in, if if if

Exactly. There's a ton of parity in the NFL. One game separates the #1 seed from the 4th and one game separates a playoff team from not being in the playoffs. There's no clear favorite.

I don’t want to play any team in the NFC West this year. Arizona stunk it up the final 5 games of the season against bad teams and still beat Dallas at home.

If it was that close, the Packers would have played seriously against the hapless dandy Lions. AJ would have started and dominated. Packers would have the better record and the number one seed.

If Cowboys lose tomorrow, fire Fat Mike.
No sir. If Dallas loses tomorrow he is rebuilding that D that looks like an AFC North D team. NFC East will be all Dallas and Philly for next two or so years. Reskins and Giants need a total rebuild.

SF has more slightly offensive punch, so I don’t see a win but “fat Mike” is the real deal since Skeletor will not pay more for critical free agents.
