I think I'd actually preferred being 4. I'd rather play the Packers coming off the bye than having to play Brady on the road in the playoffs, assuming we'd get that far.

GB hosts the lowest seed after wildcard round.

Boys getting #3 is huge for several scenarios:

1) second round could be #1 verses #4/5 and #2 verses #3.

2) if the rams/cards somehow beat GB and Dallas takes care of the 49ers and Tampa they could host nfc championship. This alone is the reason #3 is so important.

3) if somehow eagles beat Tampa then Dallas would host round 2. Home games in playoffs are so important
