OT: Cowboys

Doesn't matter who they hired. The next 4 to 6 years minimum are going to be slim years. It just gives Jerry a guy to blame rather than himself.

Yeah, we know. But c'mon. At least try.
The got him because I guarantee no one else wanted the job. The all see that it is a doomed job. How can you play a whole season and not have a solid RB then actually think your team is going to be successful with a QB that is a liability. And worse is signed for 4 more years at 60 million per and only has 2 playoff wins in his career. Daniels in his first season has as many playoff wins as Dak.

No one needs a crystal ball to see the future. More decisions like these that the Coach has no control over. The players are going to leave in mass and Jerry will try to build with the draft, but still has a liability at QB and an aging OLine. Top that with a defense that is going to be broken apart and you have a disaster on your hands. No one with any brains would want the job.

I know it’s not much, but the Jets, Browns, Raiders and Jaguars are run WAY WORSE. At least Jerry Jones wasn’t wearing a neck brace during the draft to sell a fake wrestling injury.
Pete Carrol will turn the Raiders around. Bet on it. He is a coach's coach. The expert, experts go to. Liam Coen got mafia like stolen to the Jags from the Bucs and I am not being hyperbolic. Jags literally would not let him leave him their facility (as per FOXSPORTS), that's a crime folks, and the whole story has not been released. It is crazy. Anyways, Coen is a young evil football genius, your next "Chucky" some say. Jags dormant days are over and Buc Nation is peeved. Browns need to go "full Detoit" and change every position down to front office secretary, but they think they are just a qb away. Jets? As actor Davidson said:

Pretty much every other team is out there improving, and what is the only news coming from the Boys. Yep, integral piece Trent Sieg. Again.
Does it matter? Jerry will still be running things, and it will never change till he is gone. Remember he is "ALL IN".

Do you really think the last 30 years is a fluke? When Senter finally gets shown the door at UTEP, it would not surprise me if Jerry hired him to help.

I can still bitch about it.

I really think it is F Jerry Jones. He has single handily ruined the team by being the worst GM in the history of the NFL.
When I fill out the first run of my tournament bracket, sometimes I look at it and ask how the hell do I have 2 12 and 1 13 seed in the Elite 8. It's because I want to be the guy who catches the Cinderella.

I'm becoming convinced that's Jerry's attitude towards skill position players in the draft. We're enamored with late round projects - Tolbert, Flournoy, Brooks, Fehoko - just so that when 6th round WR Bubba Thompson from Kutztown St. hits, Jerry can say, "See, I know what I'm doing."

The guys drafted might end up being good players. But, the fact that we're more than likely coming out of the draft without a difference maker at WR or RB means it's already a failure to me.

It is most likely better that way. Dak is not going to lead the Cowboys anywhere for the next 4 more years. Hopefully guys on the line develop and we get a young running back a few years from now that goes with a new QB. The team the Cowboys have now is a total waste with Dak as the QB, and by the time the RB is useful, he will then have to be signed to a big contract.

Because Jerry signed Dak to that huge 4 year non tradable contract, anything we really do in the skill positions is going to be a waste. The time to rebuild was this year, and the answer was to do it and not re-sign Dak.

The smartest thing they can do is rebuild the OLine and DLine and just forget about anything else. That way they are building for 4 years from now. The issue with that is that they will then have a rookie QB that will take a couple of years to develop. So, really this team is trash for the next 6 years. So, it really does not matter who they take because Jerry has seen to it that his money is tied up between 2 players, soon to be 3 and there isn't anything else to go around.

The bottom line is that nothing matters as long as Jerry is at the helm. He has run this team into the ground, and until he is gone, nothing will change. They are caught up in a hard place because they can't rebuild because they signed Dak, and they have no money to get the 5 superstars Dak needs because we all know he can't carry the team but is paid like it. Therefore, none of this really matters right now if that makes any sense.
