OT: LA Dodgers pitcher Fernando Valenzuela passed away

My Dad was a big Dodgers fan and as a kid we watched Valenzuela lead the Dodgers to the World Series in 1981. Valenzuela also won the NL rookie of the year and CY Young awards that same year. He was not only a great pitcher, but a pretty good hitter too. May he rest in peace. 🪦

The 30 for 30 Fernandomania was great too. I didn’t know LA Mexicans hated the Dodgers throughout the 60s and 70s since they razed neighborhoods to build Dodger Stadium and it was only in the 80s once Valenzuela took off that they became the unofficial team of the Raza.
