it's kinda sad that we can't keep a location that caters to Miner fan's open. There should should be a place where every Miner fan can go during away games to catch the action with like-minded folk. A place where everybody knows your name.

Thanks guys. I just saw this post. As you can imagine, I've been a little tied up. It was a good run, but damn.....

My wife still has her newer restaurant/bar in far northeast (tipsy Turtle) and I also have a little dive bar in northeast as well (VIP) (shameless plugs) Tortuga helped get Tipsy off the ground when my wife got laid off after 20 years. It is doing good (not great) now, but couldn't keep a huge bar like Tortuga afloat. We are barely starting to get UTEP fans in there mainly because I push it. LOL

I will be mainly at VIP going forward. If you ever venture out, swing by one of our spots and say hi.

Gotta got pack more stuff up and move it.....peace!

Done, tried and hard to keep a going concern the last couple decades. A good buddy works at the local Walgreen's across from UTEP and Friday and Saturday nights his store gets the local bar crowd in the store before they hit up the Cincy District and they are in no way your typical Miner fan attending patrons. They buy a lot of the Bic Pen packages in the office/school section (to snort, smoke, whatever...).

Man, sorry to hear about the closing. Always one of my stops the last 5-6 years when I’d visit EP.

Asked for you when I was there last June but you weren’t around that evening.
