Terry is in trouble. Probably needs 4 more wins out of 7 games left to get in and keep his job. Trouble is they’re playing like shit.
Is that the standard though? Sneak in as a last 4 in and maybe win a game or two?
No. Get in and get to the second weekend. And even that won’t get an extension.
I just don't see them getting to the second weekend. Looking at their OOC schedule and real lack of quality wins, I would be licking my chops to be matched up with them in the tournament.

Losing to Bama was an easy bet. Texas players gave effort.
It’s the losses last week that were the killer. Games they could’ve won.

Texas is still ranked in the top 40 of the NET. Like I said, they will get in and get eliminated in their first game. Their numbers are so skewed as are a few other SEC teams that they are going to be quick outs in the NCAA tournament.
If UT ain't out by now...fvck the selection committee and process.
Not yet because they have an overinflated number of 39 in the NET because they lose to even more over inflated teams in the SEC.
That conference is overrated and is going to have a lot of early exits like the BIG 10 does every year. One only has to look at the OOC schedule of the schools rather than wins in conference.
One could argue that Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky and possibly Texas A&M are the real deal, as their OOC schedules reflect it.,
While Tennessee is suspect as they have only beaten Baylor and Illinois OOC.
Florida does not have a Quad 1 win OOC, and Missouri has only beaten Kansas who is not the world beater everyone thought they were.
Ole Miss has beaten BYU and that is it for their Quad 1 wins OOC.
I could go on, but one only has to look at their weak OOC schedules of the SEC teams and know they will not fair well in the NCAA playoffs.
Wouldn’t surprise me, as long as doesn’t have to put any effort into it.

Hoping Terry gets murder against Xavier tonight - further exposing his poor on court coaching. Sean🎆 Miller is going to eat at lunch.- and I hope they finally move on and put Terry back at a D2 or Juco where he belongs.

Terry just coached his last game at Texas. He’ll be a hot candidate for a big basketball program as an assistant . Or head coach at a mid major
At least Shaka had prior success. CRT doesn’t really have anything to show for here and FSU. Hell, imagine him on Beard’s staff…with Golding! Lol
So the scuttlebutt is Pitrino is gone at unm and Terry is the candidate to fill his shoes.
Terry did have one good season at FSU, where he went 25-10, finished 2nd in the MWC, and made the NCAA Tournament. He also had a couple of other decent, but far from spectacular, seasons with the Bulldogs. He was an absolute failure here. He was able to take Beard's team to the Elite 8, but it's been diminishing returns since then.
A high major with an open assistant coaching position would be a fool not to hire him, he is a great recruiter. A school at any level would be a fool to hire him as a head coach, he doesn't know what to do with the talent he accumulates.

According to the El Paso Times, Rodney Terry is out at UT after their quick NCAA tourney exit. Can’t say that anyone on this board is surprised by this move.
Some people aren't meant to be head coaches. He should just accept what he is a make the big bucks as an assistant and recruiter. Probably easier and less if a hassle than head coach. Could see him joining beard again at ole miss. Maybe Golding will join him too 😂
