We need to stop being at the bottom of college football. So I can stop reading this garbage.
That National Championship trophy next to the 2000 WAC Co-Championship looks beautiful in our case.
Yeah, but we’re a “basketball school” remember? Basketball schools are known for going 14 years without NCAA appearances and 32 years without a single win!
Two conference championships in the last 30 years!
I think this will help especially if Walden recruits in Cali and the west coast.
Plus he should have a bigger budget. I predict he will get at least 2 four star commits.

Well unfortunately that's what happens when you go with an FCS QB. Again, I think he (Sky) works in certain packages or plays but not as a full time D1 starting QB. Great speed, strong arm but lacks accuracy and is too short.

I think it’s a growing process for everyone. Walden is still a young coach and I think he’s still trying to navigate what works as well. I think the one promising move he’s made was going to Cade and letting him rip the ball downfield. Hopefully he sees that’s his best chance to put points on the board and adjusts his scheme accordingly.
No, we knew from the start that Dimel preferred a ball control offense. What we hoped was that he had learned something since his last head coaching stint in and it would be an efficient ball control offense. We instead got what we feared: an inept offense, to go along with poor discipline and horrible game management.

Once this guy realized his prediction wasn't going to happen, we went on radio silence.
In fairness, he's a coach's dad. He came in full of excitement and hope. It just didn't pan out that way. I mean, Walden brought in his FCS players and system and expected FBS results.

I like Ezell Jolly in there at RB. He was such a big recruit for Dimel and seemed like he was buried in the depth chart with Wqlden. He’s really showing a burst now that he’s getting quality reps.
Wonder how many more of those type of players Walden replaced with his OKG from Austin Peay.
It looks like he’s going down the line and seeing who can play. McConnell, Jolly and several of the freshmen. I know the season hasn’t gone as we wanted but at least he’s not afraid to replace guys which will help since there are guys who have stepped up and played better.
Yeah. I don’t blame a coach or player’s dad for having faith in their kid. I don’t think there’s a parent here that would ever say “My kid’s in over his head..”
I don’t either. Nor do I blame him for bailing from the forum. It’s kinda depressing, borderline toxic, around here at times.
Really? I have never seen anything depressing or toxic on here. There are the cheerleaders who think UTEP is going to go bowling every year, there are Negative Nancy's who never have anything positive to say, and then there are the bulk of the posters on here who accept the reality of UTEP athletics.
His son is the “Wefense Coordinator/Miner Backs/Inside Wide Receivers/Passing Game Coordinator”. I don’t really think he is the reason why the Miners are 0-6.
If you want to come here and talk up your kid that’s fine, he mostly talked up Walden though. Then claimed we were going to beat one of Nebraska, CSU, or Tennessee. I mean come on, he obviously doesn’t know the history of UTEP football and it makes him sound ridiculous and dumb.
