So nothing from UTEP Basketball for weeks...

Not even the Director of Creative Strategy has posted an original X post about UTEP since March 14.

Yet, today we finally get a post from UTEP Basketball:

"Give us your money" - I paraphrase

I would say "unbelievable", but its UTEP and Jim Senter, so totally makes sense.
He is busy tweeting about the Nuggets.

Meanwhile, back at the UTEPFB Ponderosa, Walden is literally scrapping for a dollar!

The way Golding is approaching the offseason is only making me care less about UTEP basketball, and I already had a tough time caring. Walden didn’t have the best season last year but at least he’s tap dancing his ass off, and I mean that in the most complimentary way. He is making his own hype unlike Golding.

Well…David Terrell commits to UNT. So there’s some Utep basketball news. 😝 So atleast we know that he is 100% not coming back. 🤷‍♀️

Hmm, I thought the former CUSA freshman of the year could do better than UNT. I thought he was one of the few players with a shot at a power conference.

He didn’t impress me much last season. Probably could have sat on the bench of a power team like Onyema did.
Same. He actually impressed me more as a freshman. I thought he'd grow as a soph, but his trajectory seemed to level out. Thought he brought intensity and played very solid defense, but he seems very limited offensively. Like you said, he could've ridden the pine on a power 5 squad, but I think UNT is a good landing spot for him. It's a step up. Maybe someone other than CJG can get more from him.

It’s also back in the area he grew up in DFW.

Maybe a package deal. Let see if he brings any of his players??

This pretty much confirms that Golding signed an extension. No assistant coach wants to join a program led by a lame duck head coach. It’s pretty slimy of Senter not to be upfront about it and own his mistake. Instead he’s trying to sweep it under the rug like no one would notice. It’s a bad look for the program and an even worse look for leadership.

One thing I noticed in checking out Uteps latest new assistant coach. He has a Melbourne, Australia pipeline going that’s for sure. He seems to look for international talent, so we’ll see how or if that helps any.

Why would anyone expect anything less from this athletic department? They’re extremely lucky that El Paso has the best fans in college sports.

Senter is a dope. If true this is the second time he's extended a coach mid season on to see them fall flat on their face.

Maybe he was promised HC job if Golding doesn't work out??

Yeah, but I don’t see Uteps name on there yet? We took his coach, doesn’t mean it was a package deal, but hope it is.
Idk. Contact and offered are two different things. I rather we keep focusing on proven D1 players like the Watson kids.

If there are any kids out there that can play basketball and their name is Sherlock please send your film to Utep! 🙏🏽 Maybe with a Sherlock and some Watsons we can detect some wins!

Throw a Holmes in there too.

The other day my daughter was giggling during the Celtics/Magic game because they had White, Brown and Black playing

But I don't think he qualifies yet. I believe those schools are for the following year maybe?? He committed to Jenkins for this season. Maybe he needs to go Juco first!
