Hmm, I thought the former CUSA freshman of the year could do better than UNT. I thought he was one of the few players with a shot at a power conference.
He didn’t impress me much last season. Probably could have sat on the bench of a power team like Onyema did.
Same. He actually impressed me more as a freshman. I thought he'd grow as a soph, but his trajectory seemed to level out. Thought he brought intensity and played very solid defense, but he seems very limited offensively. Like you said, he could've ridden the pine on a power 5 squad, but I think UNT is a good landing spot for him. It's a step up. Maybe someone other than CJG can get more from him.

This pretty much confirms that Golding signed an extension. No assistant coach wants to join a program led by a lame duck head coach. It’s pretty slimy of Senter not to be upfront about it and own his mistake. Instead he’s trying to sweep it under the rug like no one would notice. It’s a bad look for the program and an even worse look for leadership.
Why would anyone expect anything less from this athletic department? They’re extremely lucky that El Paso has the best fans in college sports.
Senter is a dope. If true this is the second time he's extended a coach mid season on to see them fall flat on their face.
Maybe he was promised HC job if Golding doesn't work out??
