With a winning record, I'm certain we'll be bowling. Are we destined for the New Mexico Bowl again or are there any other bowls in play?

Frisco should be in play. After seeing the crowd today I strongly believe a Texas bowl is in order. If fans won't support them in EP then they won't 4hrs up the road either. Give the Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston alumni a chance to support the team.
Does Dimel get the extension?

That or Hawaii. Neither expects fans to travel and we won't. Hawaii may not be a possibility actually.

There were more miner fans in Denton last week then it looked like in the Sun Bowl so no lie!!! I'll definitely be there if they come to Frisco!

If he wins the bowl game then it's earned. We haven't won one of those in close to 60 years.

Next year is the last on his contract so yes, he will be back. But I would think he will get an extension past that.
New Mexico Bowl. Said it from the moment we got the 6th win and I still believe it.
I'm too far away for it to matter, but the Athletic Department should take a survey to see which bowl would be better attended. That is a factor for some bowls picking teams to give an offer to. If by some miracle the Miners win a bowl game, yes Dimel should get an extension. If we have a great season next year and win a bowl game, then Dimel can pretty much write his own ticket. The team still has to put it on the field, but the opportunity is there. Go Miners.
Probably will be the NM Bowl but I hope it turns out to be a bowl in Texas since the covid uptick in NM is going strong and they are much more likely to halt events like that.
Wyoming won tonight. Wouldn’t be surprised if UTEP plays Wyoming in the NM Bowl
I hope it’s the Frisco Bowl to give UTEP fans, alumni and players families in the five major Texas cities a chance to attend the game. The Miners can also benefit from the exposure of playing in the DFW, which is a major recruiting hotbed. As someone pointed out, we had a strong showing of Miner fans at Apogee stadium in Denton last weekend.

Not to mention the NM bowl should be more efficient cost wise since we would more than like take a bus instead of flying into DFW. The Frisco Bowl is the Tuesday following the NM Bowl so it’ll be a tough one if you need to take time off work.
Not Nevada, they are Boise Light and we know how that game turned out. Wyoming would be a better match up.
Payouts go to the conference, don't they? In that respect, I don't think it matters which of the two UTEP goes to.
Don't like it, playing a team in their own backyard, far from Alumni bases or car travel. Much rather go to Dallas or Abq.
