UNT forum asks if UTEP should be forced to forfeit.

Denton is honestly considered a town north of Dallas. I mean the DFW is so Massive it all looks like one Huge City anyways, but Denton is definitely not considered as much of DFW Metro as the other cities like Plano, Mesquite, Garland, Irving, etc... If anything Denton is closer to Ft. Worth and it's in it's own county. Either way whether it's Allen or Denton they all shit talk EP and I stay steady defending it lol

Traveling 35 miles? Not sure I understand your point. Who said it was far? FYI, I lived in EP until 1977 when I moved to Dallas. "AREA"...Again; is a general and broad reference. Could be a square mile or 500 square miles. As nattybry said, Denton and Plano have no connections of any kind. Plano's reaction to Walmart and Denton's reaction to EP's COVID19 dilemma???
Plano and Denton may occasionally play each other, but their's a jillian schools in the Metroplex.

OMG I said wasnt it in the same area?? And 35 miles to me it is . You just said it's part of the metroplex. Lol Tell me what is the Metroplex???

Midland and Odessa are they in the same

OMG!!!!
This is getting a little silly. Same area, you asked? Once again; depends on the size of the area you are defining. The two incidents you are referring to are in no way related nor are the people's mind sets or their communities. Denton and Plano are two very distinctly different communities. Per capita income in Plano is probably 4 to 5 times what it is in Denton.
The Metroplex is the entire Dallas- Ft Worth population along with all their suburbs.
Let's move on and hope that the FIU community shows up in EP Saturday.

During the 2016 elections both neighboring counties voted heavily Republican. The median income in Denton is 88k and in Plano it’s 80k. Demographics are also very similar. The two cities are a lot more similar than you’re giving them credit for.

Don't know where you got your numbers. Every site I check has something different, but none show anything close to Denton being higher than Plano...no way!
Corona my chum; have you spent any time driving through Denton and Plano? BTW what does voting Republican have to do with anything?
