Getting back to the orignal point of this thread, last night UTA upset Ohio State 83-78. They outrebounded the buckeyes, and hit free throws down the stretch. UTA will be no cakewalk on the 5th.

Do you consider Larry Coker the best football coach in cusa? He won a national championship while coaching Miami. I don't care what Floyd did coaching at other schools. I care what he accomplishes here at utep. Menzies and Floyd both coach at similar schools in similar conferences and Menzies has been to the ncaa tourney pretty much every year , Floyd not even close. Advantage to Menzies

Are you sober? There is no comparison between CUSA and WAC. Menzies is a good coach. Floyd is an excellent coach. UTEP has had some bad luck with recruits but Floyd keeps them in the mix in an under appreciated but tough conference. He is building a program and at a small mid-major school that isn't easy.

Barbee and BG built a program in a tougher competition conference pretty quickly and easily. Arguing about which conference is better between cusa and the wac is like arguing about which NFL franchise is better between the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars. They both freaking suck

Speaking of upcoming opponents NMSU's Siakam had another huge game with 19 points and 16 rebounds. NMSU will be our toughest games and Siakam should have 2 huge games against us. We will be very lucky not to get swept by NMSU this year.

Not to dis Coach Barbie but for the sake of discussion. Coach Barbie had 3 future NBA level players, (Stone, Moultrie, Caracter), CUSA's all time leading scorer (Jackson) and he only won the conference ONCE, only went to the NCAA tourney ONCE and never beat Memphis? How do you not win the conference 2x or 3x with that kind of talent?
