UTEP Freshman accounted for 95.5% of all of our total yards today(via passing or rushing).

Just from last week's team(which was already a beat up unit), we lost our starting QB and our top 2 RB's(Laufasa and Hughes). Then today, we also lost our best current Offensive Player(Plinke), our Starting RT, our 2nd best Defensive player(Musgrave) and yet despite these additional losses, our "back-ups back-ups" kept fighting today against the likely Division Conference Champion.

Only 3 Seniors were responsible for any yardage today(Lee at Center, Laufasa had 18 yards rushing and Lang had 19 yards recieving). Redix, Powell, Johnson, Ford, Metz showed a lot of potential against good competition today.

Kugler Football continues to be tough in November.

UTEP is now 9-3 in it's last 12 Home Games under Kugler and they were only 2 points away today, from being 10-2. That seems to be pretty competitive and decent to me.

Amen to that. The future is looking good. Kugler is building a program of competitors.

What about Kugler's road record?

What about Kugler's horrible start to every season?

Horrible start to every season? Last year he started the season with a road win over a Mountain West team and then only lost by 4 to a Big 12 team in the 2nd game. This season, he started the season with 3 road games, including starting at an SEC and a Big 12 school. Yet, he still started this season 2-2. That's horrible??

My goodness, the guy is trying to build a Program. Yes, the road record is rough thus far, but guess what? The road record has been rough for every single UTEP Coach who has been here for the past 50 years. Kugler is trying to build something that has never been able to be built here, which is build a team that can be competitive year in and year out. UTEP has only had 1 winning season in the past 10 years and Kugler gave that to us, let's give him a bit of a break, especially after the gutty November performance that he team showed today.
