Utep players in NFL

Nedham has been practicing with the first team due to on injury.

It's good to see UTEP alumni representing well.
Harris was a Price recruit but played his final year under Kugler. The rest are Kugler recruits. Kugler did recruit good players and players of character. Wadley is one of Kugler's prize recruits who I can easily see making a NFL roster and two mammoth NFL quality lineman played side by side at one point (Gatewood and Will). I just don't understand why Kugler couldn't put it together?

I think Wadley’s injury problems will hurt him when he tries to get a look at the next level, look at Hotckins.

Kugler hit big time on several recruits during his time at UTEP, make no mistake about that. The problem was:

1: He missed a hell of a lot more than he hit. Aside from the guys mentioned the rest of the roster was devoid of D1 size and talent.
2: His lack of tactical flexibility. He thought he was gonna “outmacho” everyone and week in and week out we got our teeth kicked in. And all he could say was “This loss is on me.... we’re going to fix this.”

Kugler brought in some talent but his narrow minded focus on smash mouth football left him high and dry to winning any other way. No finesse, no Flying Miner passing game, not even winning by kicking field goals. His not recruiting a field goal kicker at all is the biggest proof that his attitude was, If it's not smash mouth, we're not doing it here.

Exactly.

What ever did happened to that high flying 6'5" deep ball receiver he recruited out of some Minnesota JC his second or third year at UTEP?
