So has Utep ever won a Team Ncaa Title? I always here about the titles utep won but are they team or individual titles?

Okay well i just look it up myself. And yes they won like 4 straight in the 80s and they were runner ups in 94. Thats pretty amazing. Most championships have come from major programs. Would you put Utep in top 10 track progams ever?

UTEP was considered one of the greatest track and field teams of all time. They were the first school to recruit the Kenyan runners. They were second in 76 and 77, which you missed, and also won in 75.
This is the outdoor titles:
1975 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1976 2 USC Ted Banks

1977 2 Arizona State Ted Banks

1978 t1 UTEP & UCLA Ted Banks

1979 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1980 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1981 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1982 1 UTEP

Now, you completely skipped the Indoor Titles: 7 National Championships
They were 2nd in 71, 73, 77 and 79

1971 2 Villanova Wayne Vandenburg

1973 t2 Manhattan Ted Banks

1974 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1975 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1976 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1977 2 Washington St. Ted Banks

1978 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1979 2 Villanova Ted Banks

1980 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1981 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1982 1 UTEP

You also missed all their Cross Country National Titles: And they were 3rd in 70 and 74, second in 73 and 77

1969 1 UTEP Wayne Vandenburg

1970 3 Villanova Wayne Vandenburg

1973 2 Oregon Ted Banks

1974 3 Oregon Ted Banks

1975 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1976 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1977 2 Oregon Ted Banks

1978 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1979 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1980 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1981 1 UTEP Ted Banks

1983 1 UTEP

So, does 21 national championships answer your question?

And those are not alt-facts.

He didn't, they were just listing the coach of the UTEP team whether they won the title or not.

He also missed the track death penalty we received that ultimately had coach Haskins in deep doo doo over providing a ride home from the airport for a freshman.

...and yes, easily one of the top 10 track and field programs of all time IMHO!

They certainly brought us down! UTEP was a force in Basketball, football and track during that period and the powers-that-be put out a contract on us. Utilizing the media (Sports Illustrated) and shady NCAA regulations, they essentially invoked the Death Penalty on our Sports Program that we have never recovered from. Of course, these days, they don't need to whack upstart programs anymore because they have "unleveled" the playing field ($$$$) to the point that there is no way a non chosen school can do what we did back then. Some of our younger posters are not aware of that dark period in our history.

Men's cross country and Men's Track are tied for the most National Championships among our school programs. Both have 7. Indoor track has 6.

Men's basketball is 4th with 1.

Of course, I'll always be happy to mention our cheer program won a national championship in 2011!
