I'm interested in seeing how Jones, Wickware and Mbengue are looking. We never see Mbengue when they show clips on social media. Probably not a good sign.

Wondering why fans aren’t at least somewhat yet hesitantly optimistic. Is it, because Golding didn’t get a quality 6-7 ish swing transfer and shooters or we just don’t believe in Golding anymore? For me I’m slightly excited, cause we made a run in the tourney. However im very cautious to have even the slightest bit of optimism.

Miners need to be 7-1 or 8-0 going into the Louisville game and then not losing that game by more than 10 points for me to even think about getting excited.

Bunch of Debbie downers in here. You don’t have to be optimistic, but don’t have to be a pissy pessimist either. I don’t know how y’all do it, but f or me, I’m just neutral this year being that the people brought in weren’t too exciting, the past track record, and probably footballs struggles this year isn’t helping lift our spirits either. I’ll still be realistic in the end, but giving em the benefit of the doubt being the way they closed the tourney and everyone sticking together in these transfer days. Some of y’all need alot to get excited for, and for that I’d recommend you just take a blue chew and enjoy the ride 🤣

Title:
UTEP men’s basketball to play first ever game in Mexico against Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua

Did I read correctly? Is UTEP holding a pop up practice at UACJ?

It's an actual exhibition game. Looks like a high school team. They don't even have matching uniforms. They should've at least played a pro team or something. They should've asked Randy Culpeper if could play against his old team.

There was a practice this week, and there will be an exhibition in a couple more weeks.

Golding instead of making podcasts send Denver to wherever this place is?? Or you can send me I will do it for free. Just pay my flight and hotel.

Golding cancel the podcast and the Mexico game. Go here now . 😎😎😎 You still have time until the season starts. Go get this guy.👍👍

Will anyone be attending the basketball scrimmage today in Juarez? If so, are you willing to report back to us? I'm interested to hear about our two new guards.

Up until the conference tournament, last season was pretty bad. Unlike Walden, Golding has been here for a few seasons. I have learned not to get excited for his teams.

Last year started out like they were hot stuff, then they went mediocre for most of the season. Then they got hot again for the conference tournament. This year they bring in Ahamad Bynum, who sounds like an improvement over some Golding has recruited. It sounds also like the returning players are hungry to better last year's record. If all this translates onto the actual game, the Miners should do well. Go Miners.

Golding has struggled in part due to NIL. He’s a good coach. I firmly believe we have the right man in place.

I think this year it all comes together and the team will be much improved despite the loss of Powell and Hardy.

Uh yeah, that ain’t it. LaTech finished 12-4 in CUSA last year and swept the Miners.

LaTech doesn’t even have its own basketball NIL collective like UTEP does.

Let me rephrase that, he’s struggled to adapt to the NIL era. He’s getting beat at the recruiting game by schools that do more with less.

He knows he’s gone if he stinks it up this year. I believe he’ll have a good team.

Go Miners!

He struggled to win with Souley Boum, Keonte Kennedy, Tydus Verhouven, and Jamal Bieniemy. Boum was 1st team all Big East when he played at Xavier.

Keep the excuses coming!

I like Coach Golding. I really hope he has a great year, but the portal and getting a big win are a bit of a greased pig chasing contest for him.

Very poor shooting, very poor free throw shotting, the referees were very short (like me), I don't know if they were from El Paso or Juarez, No. 32 Hamilton very slow and can't shoot. They need lots but lots of practice.
