I believe it ended 62-52 in favor of Gray vs Blue. They played three quarters but the score board wouldn't show most of the time, instead it would show video from one end of the court

Preseason rankings mean nothing but being picked that low isn't a good look for a 4th year head coach. This year is make or break.
LaTech has no NIL program, but is supposedly going to be the top team in the conference.
A quick search indicates that LaTech has several NIL programs now; I know that at one time, they were not reporting NIL funding. Realistically, there is no way that they were able to put together a team with that talent without significant resources.
For sure. Quite frankly, I was surprised with some of the returnees in CUSA. There are several guys other who I thought would transfer up $.

I was only talking about men’s basketball. They have no NIL like UTEP. UTEP has both a generic collective for all sports and then one specifically for the basketball program. LaTech does not have that.Listed below-

That's fair. In order to do an accurate comparison, we would need to know the compensation per player. You can bet a guy like Batcho is being compensated very well. Last year we were picked to finish 5th and that’s exactly where we finished.
It’s hard to compete with teams that get 2,000 fans a game on their best night. Very tough places to play.

That's a shame. I expect total UTEP domination. UACH has to adjust to the shot clock rules and they will be undersized. But the best basketball in Mexico is played in the northern states. UACH might not be a top athletics university, but they will take their best shot at UTEP. UACH is probably the equivalent of a Junior College, if we don't blow them out of the water then this might be a very long season.
While we assume it should be a blow out, I would think this will be treated as a glorified practice. Everyone in a uniform will play, schemes will be worked on, and defense will be taught.
