Just better hope nobody tries to run up the score on us for leaving to the MWC when conference play rolls around.
I should have never used that term. It was mistake and prior to the game, I admired for years how La Tech was able to be competitive (even getting wins in bowl games against major schools) with a low FBS/D1 budget. But after two years in a row of their disgusting on field behavior by their players towards UTEP, F'em. The head shot could have resulted in permanent life changing injury. I really love and enjoy college football, but while it is a violent game of "down and distance" [John Madden], it doesn't give the right to attempt a literal decapitation or curb stomp a player.
It's great that they didn't spend money to bring in a court and rent out the coliseum. It was a smart move to save money by UTEP.
