His record at Trinity Valley proves that he can coach, and he's also obviously done a great job of recruiting at the JC level. I always have to wonder, however, if there are also other factors involved. I noticed that the team last year was led by freshman guards Hyron Edwards and Josh Stamps, who tallied 13.7 and 12.5 ppg, resp. Edwards also led the team with 5.5 apg. Remember, this was for a team that was the number 1 ranked JC team in the nation for most of last year. I wouldn't be surprised if this pair are now prime targets for our 2017 recruiting class.
