Aren't position coaches usually on a year-to-year contract?

If this list of coaches is correct then the WR hire, which is already known, looks like the best one. The other 2 may be better known but they were both canned recently and maybe more than once. Hopefully, whoever is hired is more than capable of doing a good job.

I don't want to be the Debbie Downer of the group, but I would be highly suprised if we got a respectable name. I feel like I'm channeling my inner Chi, Chunks, or whatever 50 other names that guy's gone by. I would love nothing more than to eat my words, but nothing in UTEP's football history would lead me to believe they are going to make some insane hire.

Pease was also canned at Florida. However I heard he ran through some injuries there, and Muschamp needed a scapegoat.......as I was typing that, it sounded very familiar.

Anyhow, I like the OC hire, I think he will improve the offensive production. Who is the DC? That's the mystery.

Pease would be a good fit because he knows the Boise St. offense. In terms of play calling, I would give Pease a big advantage over our previous OC.
