I thought the same thing and I was certainly wondering wtf he was in the game at crunch time. Freshmen make freshmen mistakes. That is to be expected....which is why you don't have them in, unless you have to, when the game is on the line.

Gilyard is playing with the most heart today against SC — he’s not the problem.

I'm talking about yesterday when he was part of the problem (stepping on the line on the inbounds pass). Not knocking the kid...he is freshman with a learning curve. I've never questioned his heart.
