The injury the Iranian GK had was ugly
Best first half that I've seen from our team in a long time!
Too many wasted opportunities by the U.S. Too slow to press the ball forward on counters, too sloppy in the box and wasted corner entries. Also we always lose aggression and give up ball control when we get a lead.
Well after that 1st half I thought we were good. If U.S. soccer could ever grow some balls then we might take the next step.
Agree. And typical second half. So Berhalter.
Everybody I was with: We dominated that first half.
Me: We dominated possession. We are one set piece, corner kick or penalty kick away from a tie game.
Cuz it doesn’t take a genius to know how conservative Berhalter goes with a lead.
