FIU at UTEP Thread

While I agree that this is a must-win for UTEP to contend for the conference crown, most of FIU's losses are in the single digits. They play a high-pressure defense and make you work the entire game. I never count them as a gimme.

From a talent perspective, these teams are close. From top to bottom, CUSA is balanced. Sam Houston beat Jax St. tonight, and that is not a huge surprise based on what I have seen league wide this year.

I like that Kalu actually plays with a little emotion now. He’s always played with flat affect. It seems to get the other guys going when he gets fired up.

It was neck-and-neck for the first 30 minutes and then the Miners had a run (several steals) that finally blew it open.

FIU was leading most of the first half and it was tied at the half.
