We all saw this when Barbee left and Floyd inherited an NCAA team. What did Floyd do? Turn an NCAA team into an NIT team. How? By over coaching. Now recruiting plays a big part of this but we can learn a lot from the 2011 team. That team was loaded, and Floyd couldn't do much with it. Being a hardass disciplinarian is great but if you take it too far, the team drags. Sure they still play hard but it seems to me they aren't loose and play with fear. When you play with fear, 20 pt losses happen.
As far as recruiting goes, Floyd has failed. He swung for the fences and struck out. I'm OK with him taking a couple hacks once in a while but after striking out over and over, enough is enough. Bring kids that are going to be with the program 3-4 years, not kids that never make it onto campus, his turnover ration is too high.
