We all saw this when Barbee left and Floyd inherited an NCAA team. What did Floyd do? Turn an NCAA team into an NIT team. How? By over coaching. Now recruiting plays a big part of this but we can learn a lot from the 2011 team. That team was loaded, and Floyd couldn't do much with it. Being a hardass disciplinarian is great but if you take it too far, the team drags. Sure they still play hard but it seems to me they aren't loose and play with fear. When you play with fear, 20 pt losses happen.

As far as recruiting goes, Floyd has failed. He swung for the fences and struck out. I'm OK with him taking a couple hacks once in a while but after striking out over and over, enough is enough. Bring kids that are going to be with the program 3-4 years, not kids that never make it onto campus, his turnover ration is too high.

I strongly agree with your first part.

He ran off an NBA player like Arnette Moultrie.

I know Floyd's style is to be fierce on the court, but take a look at the coach on the other sideline tonight. Pretty composed and calm.

Brad Stevens is another example.

Come on, everyone has a different style. calipari, coach k, many others are the same way. Much easier when you win.

Stop with floyd taking a ncaa team to the nit!!!! That's is the stupidest argument there is...if you saw anything about that miners ncaa team, was that caracter was unstoppable and he WAS the reason they went dancing...nothing to do with barbee other than him getting him there for half a season....and then you also lose a good arnett moultrie... Floyd did not in anyway have the same team, so please stop with that stupid comparison....hows barbee doing at auburn? Ohhh wait...

You keep ragging on Barbee. All he did was recruit excellent players and high quaity individuals. Very few if any disipline problems at all. We havent had a roster close to as talented as the one he had in Stone, Culpepper, Williams, Moultrie, etc.

How is that ragging on barbee? Everyone knows that caracter made that team.....not ragging on barbee at all glad he was able to recruit them here....but I am saying you can't compare floyds team to barbee's team because barbee had two extra players on that team that saw time in the nba.....the only thing I rag on barbee about is the recruiting crap he left us in....

That is where I insist and insist that Floyd's arrogant neurotic attitude doesn't help but nobody seems to get it.

I've actually said something very similar. In fact in every instance he's had these major tantrums, so begins the unraveling of his team. Instead of sparking his team, the rants seem to stifle his guys. I mean they just start to fall apart. If it was just one guy, I would speculate that it's just the way the kid responds to an outburst, but the whole damn team seems to lose it's poise and heart and the level of play appears to go south. No longer can I consider that a coincidence. Add to that the utter lack of fire that any of CTF's teams have demonstrated since his arrival and I am convinced that there are major coach/player relationship issues.
