It's a critical decision but Floyd is right on this. Harris will be back. Fans need to be patient.
you teach harris nothing by letting him come in and play immediately!! i like floyds decision!
what does it tell the other players that have worked their asses off in class and on the basketball court ? I am not saying keep him out 5 games either, but putting him back right from the get go is not good in my opinion but thats me
Why? Cursed my a**. We have been good before. Recently as a matter of fact. Things have been moving in the wrong direction for 5-6 years.why cant utep put things together??? i am finally starting to believe utep is cursed somehow
not about omega in my opinion more about the other players being more deserving
Its pretty stupid to assume when the kid should play. CTF is the only one that knows the situation and the only person who should decide when he comes back.
well i was sooooo pumped about this season... and it really has gone down the tube! i know the season is early but they are just missing an inside presence, this team is just incomplete....
When prognosticators predict how good a team will be based on player ratings, but that team and those players don't meet expectations, does that mean they don't know the sport they represent....No it doesnt! Alot of variables go into it... coaching, cohesion, injuries, etc... this comment was ignorant and ridiculous that you almost sound like your blaming everyone for your expectations, cause u don't know basketball yourself! You have your own eyes and opinions, Use Em!Our guard play is terrible. I don't care what anyone says. I've seen two games and all the hype that was built on this board about DA (the next Hardaway, HAHAHA) and one of the best back courts in the country is BS. It will be a long season.
I rely on this board for insight and to learn what to expect for the coming season(s). Every year the build up is beyond reach. I now believe that the majority of people on here truly don't know good basketball or real talent. I don't care how long you've been following the Miners, if you think this team can compete, you are completely wrong.
You apparently haven't seen my posts, I'm very realistic and critical of this team. Get caught up then we'll talk!Sorry bro, after the first couple of games people were saying this is one of the best back courts in the country (yes, I do count on others to set my expectations since I don't get to watch them often). This was from what people saw with THEIR own eyes. I have seen them play twice (as I mentioned). If you believe these guards can compete with anyone in the country, YOU haven't seen them play. They were out played and out hustled in the games I've seen. I'm sure you're one of the "experts" who's opinion is now in the trash as far as I'm concerned.

Coog, u should read closer bro... that's all I'll say, I absolutely did no such thing. I said If Utep were to go like 27-4 and maybe 26-5they would be an at large team to clarify that, that's what they'd have to do to be an at large. Then I said that probably won't happen. That's not a prediction, that's clarifying thst, tha the CUSA could get two teams in based on that. It's obvious that won't happen. I'm really questioning some people's reading and comprehension skills on this blog!
I was pointing to the fact in a previous thread, that you said no way Utep could be an at large, I simply stated how they could, but that wouldn't happen. Also we are bad, but actually have a little more hope year in and year put to make NCAA than FL Atlantic at least. I also said last night was a critical game to show which direction this year may go. Not saying its over, but high hopes of a high 20 win season and running through the CUSA took a big hit.Come on natty! I read just fine. There are only a very few reasons why you would even suggest that a record with 4 or 5 losses would garner an at-large. Anyone who was being critical, or realistic, would've left that one alone based on the several games UTEP had played at that point because it was easy to see that this team just doesn't have it. Hell, using your logic, if FAU or FIU only lose 4 or 5 games, they might even get the nod. If, if, if...
I will say that I agree with your thread title though.
