"Floyd was a GA when I was at UTEP. His dad was a D-1 coach, so had lots of connections. We had just come off a pretty good year in the old WAC, so the comp for the GA role was elevated.
My story is -I named him "Pink" after Pink Floyd as The Wall was on every radio station at the time. Years later he is coaching the Bulls. As you may remember Jordan did not care for him. SI did a report on the Bulls and issues with Jordan. When Tim came up in the article Jordan called him Pink and not Tim. I felt bad as that name was a joke, but some how carried it for years after his time with us."
