With the current situation in the college basketball world it would seem that it's going to be raining transfers. Hope Jim brings in someone who can take advantage of it.

1) A 4 year college basketball coach worth a grain of salt always builds on newbies. This is not football, loading up on juco' s is not realistic. FBS programs plan on 2 to 3 deep. You can't do that in bball most of the time. That's why 3 and 4 spot hybrids are sought after....flexibility. (Basketball is a very flexible at the second game, as compared to other sports that are stop, start, collect, repeat. It's in constant motion)

2) Transfers come:
a) When interested in your program

b) seeking a realistic expectation of reasonable playing time (these are young/post teen players so "reasonable" has a broad meaning).

We are going to need a big center. Somebody who can rebound and defend the rim. If we can get that and everybody stays then we could be fine the 1st year.

Agree with this, but would add also someone who is not injury prone. (I know this is an unknown).
We wont have a true center so it will be a good recruiting point. Im also interested to see if Royster stays. He is a big man like Smith.

This Is the kind of situation I was addressing on another topic. Since we are in a state of limbo coaching wise there really isn't anyone who can talk to him unless it's one of us.
