We play great defense for 1993. I'm glad the game hasn't evolved since then.
Jim senter just said exactly what I have been saying for years and I have been getting tons of grief on this board for.... we need to support the teams and show up to the games.....
Remember guys, we have a bunch of injuries and defections. No way we can compete with a Southland team who won 19 games last year! Thats 4 more than UTEP!
Yeah, a full house would make UTEP win this game, great call. Didn't UTEP average more than MTSU last year? Weird that they won the conference, conference tournament, and a NCAA game.
You all are happy for senter.... I am just repeating what your savior has said.... why are you comparing us to mtsu?? I can't compare our coach to mtsu so why should you compare our attendance to them??? Hmmmmm
El Paso fans have been more than supportive. In fact, last year, when the wheels started to come off, Stull used our above average attendance to justify the continuation what he was doing. Of course, this has led to what I hope is rock bottom.
There is a fine line between being supportive and being an enabler.

I really hope the media grills Floyd's ass after this one. Seriously! If not, I hope someone has the balls to call him out on his talk show tomorrow! I would but got other plans.
Ok maybe I am stupid but if I am a recruit and I take a visit to utep and see a packed house that would definitely play in my decision.... youget better recruits you start winning.... we need any edge we can get ... do you not understand that?
Floyd has received plenty of support from fans. Fans are just done supporting Floyd after 8 seasons of accomplishing absolutely nothing. Senter knows a change at coach has to be made.
C'mon PURP. People DON'T want to show up for this shit. Or else they would. The time commitment, the money spent, the lack of entertainment. Can you honestly blame people?
The recruits see the empty houses at MTSU, LaTech, and UAB, but they can accomplish things. How do those schools get better players than UTEP, but less attendance?

Football coach. Senter doesn’t have to worry about the basketball team until March.
At the moment, there are about 300 better teams in the nation. Of those, at least 150 of them, can't even compare with us when it comes to fan support. Don't transfer Floyd's failure to the fans. The fans have been amazingly resilient.
How about one is demonstrating one's vote by not showing up until change is made? It's not a new concept.
I am not talkin about Floyd at all just talking about utep in general ..... I don't know why you keep bringing Floyd into this?
