VH DID play in the NBA, though, and I'm not sure another season under Floyd was going to get him more NBA minutes than he eventually got. If his dream was to play in the NBA, he can say with a straight face that he made it. And he was able to go make some good bucks in other pro leagues, too.

He played in 4 games, played less than 8 minutes, and scored 6 points.

I think the extra year would have benefitted him.

Sure. He was a top G league player or whatever it was called at the time. He got a drink of water in the NBA, but his game and his size didn't match. Yes he was there, but he certainly didn't 'make it' in the NBA.

I'm sure that he made what he thought was the best decision for himself at the time.
