I haven't seen that n e of those three qbs give us a better shot at winning. Metz has become a turnover machine, Johnson isn't ready and can't throw....so what do u expect Kugler to do people? You act like we have better options, that's been proven to not be the case, have u not watched the last two games? Simpson is not in the picture, so no sense in taking about him, but I think all y'all are off on this one. If Metz continued where he left off against NMSU, that's different, but he is making really bad throws that lead to pints and single handedly lost the USA game. All you people act like you've coached College Football or you see the practices. This is the best decision for this year, which is already a lost season in my opinion
He needs to try Simpson but he won't cause he doesn't want a Price recruit to make him look bad because he is above Price and Price left us a mess. Bad coaching move. Everyone says Simpson looked the best in training camp. With the way its going with Kugler, you don't have to have any coaching experience in football like you mentioned to realize Kugler is terrible and makes bad decisions.
I think there's more to it than being a Price recruit, more to do with what type of player he is. First of all Simpson by all accounts is on Kugs shit list (exactly why we don't know). Secondly Simpson is a 6'7" 260 lb drop back QB, this offense isn't built around a drop back passing game (or passing period). I just don't see him playing him unless the other three all break their legs.
I'm sure those QB's transfers who can start immediately are just licking their chops to play in Kuglers high octane QB friendly offense. All of those QB's will have UTEP last on their list.
I agree. Just let Simpson play to see what he can do. It's a no brainer decision. This guy is something else.
Doesn't make sense as there are some Price recruits getting playing time. I'd like to see what Simpson could do, but at the same time don't think he would make a difference at all. It's the Higgins/ Kuglar offensive philosophy that's the problem.
Doesn't it all boil down to executing? If the experienced OL still can't execute at this point in the season when they were last year, I don't know why. Coaching? Attitude?

I'm amazed at the posting of not only piggy. That is the reason I do not post much but sometimes I just have to commit. Where did some of the guys coach last or recruit last? I'm a old man that knows more and tells less.
