28% from 3, 60% from the line, shitty interior defense and turnover machines with the ball at the end. Golding is literally banging his head against the wall.
Mando is probably a nice guy, but he is absolutely clueless about the game of basketball.
The refs were VERY "generous" in calling that foul, but the strange thing is he was driving to the basket anyway (so he wasn't looking to shoot a 3).

Frustrating game! Refs sucked but it's not their fault entirely. Free throws did us in. Good job coming back from being down at the half.

Sorry that is a ridiculous request for a coach in their 3rd year at UTEP. Maybe in 2028, Bronzeing will get players that can shoot.
Oh yeah. We will definitely feel better beating one of NMSU’s worst teams ever at home with our 12-11 record. Sounds awesome!!!!
True. This years team is improved but so far still not good enuf. Golding should cut Powell's minutes in half.

It seems like this was a letdown game after the Jax game. That one was hard fought. We were not sharp during this game.
The last few minutes Liberty just gashed UTEP. UTEP didn’t take opportunities on the 1n1’s under 5 minutes and gave the game back to Liberty they fought hard in second half to claw back.
Much of the same players, I was lumping the teams together. Really bad recruiting. Some of the lower division teams we played this year had at least 1 good shooter. We really don't have 1. 😞
This team is so frustrating. I don't even know why I let these games bother me anymore but I do.
It’s the same crappy team from last year, but they look improved because the level of competition is pathetic this year compared to last year.

Coach, you had the 03 team in the house. A head coach 20 minutes from your office (OT) who was on that team and made the opportunities and made the shots and (OT) went head to head with a hot young stud from La Tech in Paul Millsap (NBA) and got it done to win the conference. Ask him.
Gio St. Amant was missing. Chris Craig too, but for obvious reasons.
That team and the hire of Mike Price started my UTEP fandom when I was in HS. That team could shoot the lights out. When OT and Fili were at the free throw line, it was almost always guaranteed points.
I believe we led the nation in free throw percentage that season and we even made more free throws than other teams attempted. This year’s team has shown how far we have fallen
